The Club & Spa is going GREEN!

In an effort to join millions across the Nation in building awareness and participation toward leaving a positive environmental footprint, the Club & Spa is looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact.

Some of the areas we will be looking at are how we manage solid waste, hazardous waste, energy, indoor air quality, and water. Through the creation of an In-house "Green Team", and the guide of the Florida Green Lodging Certification Program, we hope to reduce energy costs while conserving and protecting our natural environment.

Please join us as we learn together how making subtle changes in our day-to-day activities can make a difference. We will continue to send updates on our "Green Activities" through the Fiddler's Creek Email Blast, website & FCTV. We welcome your participation and feedback!

GREEN TIP of the day:

Buy Local!
Purchase food from local farmers markets to help cut back on gas emissions created by long transportation routes out-of-area fruits and vegetables take to get to your local grocery store. Your food will be fresher, taste better and the air will be cleaner. Not only does shopping locally reduce food miles, it also keeps resources circulating in the community. Plus, it's a great way to get to know your neighbors. Check online to find the nearest Farmers Market near you!

CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)

We have had a tremendous response to our Fall CERT II Program.
However, we still need additional representation in the following Villages:

CERT is a Team of Fiddler's Creek residents developed to assist each Village in the event of an emergency situation.

If you are a resident of Fiddler's Creek, it is in your best interest, as well as your neighbors, to participate in this program which offers free training and important information on how to respond in the event of a crisis situation.

Hurricane Season is here! Are you prepared?

Our next CERT program will be starting in the Fall.
Look for sign up sheets throughout The Club & Spa,
or for more information call (239) 530-2809.
